J & H Sales (International) Ltd. was founded by Mr. R. S. Baxi to export recovered secondary fibre for recycling from the USA and United Kingdom. The company very quickly expanded into France, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Italy & Spain, focusing on exports to the Indian sub-continent & the Far East. Its main markets now include India, Taiwan, South Korea, Thailand, China, Indonesia, Philippines, Hong Kong & Vietnam.

Operating from its Head Office in London, the company exports different qualities of recovered fibre, such as old newspaper, magazines, recovered corrugated boxes and office stationery.

All recovered fibre exported is recycled by Paper Mills and used in the manufacture of various kinds of finished recycled paper, such as newsprint, tissue paper, packaging, printing and writing paper.

J & H Sales is currently exploring more of the UK’s thriving recycling market, with a view to developing further its contacts with Local, City & County Councils, as the drive towards greater use of environmentally friendly processes gathers pace. In particular the knowledge and expertise that J & H has at its disposal, leaves it well placed to maximise the support it can give to collectors to achieve higher rates of recovery.

In the majority of cases, the recovered fibre used for recycling is being saved from going to “Landfill” resulting in a “Greener Britain”.

J & H Sales was honoured to receive The Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade in April 2001, an award acknowledging sustained growth in Exports over a number of years. Continued growth in volume, as well as diversity of markets, has enabled J & H Sales to achieve this award, of which they are proud.
